Who are you?
Lionel Quellery. I joined Criteo one year ago as Solution Engineer. Previously, I had several professional experiences in companies focusing on technologies related to mobile applications.
Why did you choose to come to Criteo?
I chose Criteo because I needed to consolidate my knowledge of managing large accounts requiring special attention. Moreover, in France, Criteo is a major player in Adtech and innovation in digital advertising. It was natural that I chose this French flagship.
What surprised you the most at the beginning of your career at Criteo?
What surprised me the most was the trust that reigns between the employees and the military organization that we can feel through each project. Everyone at Criteo is working to bring the best solutions to our clients. In such a structure, it is necessary to be organized and disciplined.
What is the role of Solution Engineer?
My role as Solution Engineer is to understand the clients’ needs and to respond to them using Criteo technologies. Our missions are constantly changing and there is no time for routine.
We work closely with our Sales, R&D, Marketing, Data Analyst, etc. teams to ensure the success of our missions. Yes, there are a lot of people involved in building the success of our clients.
We support a customer portfolio on a daily basis in 3 key areas:
Technical: supporting the client in the implementation and use of Criteo technologies.
Marketing: understanding the client’s business and marketing challenges.
Relational: building a long-term relationship of trust in order to successfully complete each mission and turn our client into a true partner.
By working on these three pillars, we are able to put in place a long-term plan and accompany our clients towards their annual objectives.
What advice would you give to someone who would like to become a Solution Engineer at Criteo?
You have to be strong and not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Moreover, our partners expect us to be reactive, flexible and creative. We need to be multidisciplinary and learn/understand our ecosystem.
