This past June, Moliets-et-Maa in the South of France became the temporary HQ for around 2,700 Criteos when we held an energy-filled, three-day Global Summit. Employees from around the world came together to celebrate a year of successes, to look forward as we move into the next amazing chapter in Criteo’s future, and to spend time together networking, learning, and sharing.
With the beautiful beaches and dramatic seas as a backdrop, Criteos were inspired to “Ride the Wave” as we continue to roll out dynamic, industry-leading solutions for brands and retailers in the midst of unconventional times.
For some of us, it was the first time meeting team members in real life who we’d previously only interacted with virtually. For many, it was also the first time seeing the whole company together, amazed by the speed of growth of the business and excited to engage with peers from our 30+ global offices.
The agenda for the event was packed full of activities to encourage sharing of knowledge, networking, team building, and learning. The excitement of our first-ever live talent showcase, “Criteo’s Got Talent” was clear to see as bands competed to win the hearts of our all-star panel of judges, including Criteo CEO, Eric Eichmann. We knew we’d hired great talent for our business, but we didn’t realize the hidden musical talents we also had hiding amongst our employees.
The importance of sharing the same vision and goals is vital to any business, so we were delighted to hear from the whole Criteo Leadership Team, who outlined the unprecedented changes in the retail industry and the innovative approaches Criteo will take to help the world’s brands and retailers thrive.
Learning and knowledge sharing is a key part of any event and this year, along with team building activities for all of our internal teams, our newly created Criteo University courses offered a huge selection of subjects for Criteos to choose from, including machine learning, how the left and right brain work, and even a session on what Bitcoin really is.
With all the learning and networking going on, we still made time for some fun. From yoga to beach volleyball, surfing to football, and an awesome beach party where we danced into the night, this event had it all.
The Summit might have been for employees only, but the renewed energy, inspiring direction, and refreshed knowledge will keep the Criteo spirit alive — now and in the exciting months to come.
