Criteo Celebrates Black History Month Across the Country

Updated on September 16, 2020

Last month was Black History Month and, at Criteo, our offices across the country – from Boston and Miami to Ann Arbor and San Francisco – celebrated the achievement and recognition of African Americans in the US.

Our workplace experience team worked hard to bring these events together by highlighting  African American contributions to fields like leadership, education, technology, and the arts. Criteo offices hosted local speakers, went on walking tours, and started book clubs.

This was a big initiative across nine different offices and the agenda was jam-packed!

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Boston celebrated by taking a tour of the African American Meeting House, visiting local restaurants, and watching a movie screening of Black Panther
  • Miami had movie screenings of biopics that featured President Barack Obama and Jackie Robinson and visited the historical neighborhood of Overtown
  • New York featured a panel discussion of inclusivity, catered food from local African American owned restaurants, and a movie screening of Hidden Figures
  • Sao Palo offered Capoeira dancing classes, screened historical documentaries and “The Help”

Here are a few photos from our Miami, New York, and Sao Palo offices!

Black History Month helps us understand how our past shapes our future. By bringing Criteos together for interesting and informative events and activities, we had a lot of fun while learning valuable lessons about history and inclusivity.
